H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, visited Bukhara Province during his trip to Uzbekistan, where he met with Uzbek officials and visited the country’s cultural and historical sites.
Upon arriving in Bukhara, H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, was warmly welcomed by the Governor, Mr. Botir Zaripov, and other Uzbek officials. During their meeting, Governor Zaripov highlighted the strong cultural and historical ties between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan and emphasized the potential to strengthen bilateral relations.
H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and acknowledged the rich and distinguished histories of both Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. He highlighted that by capitalizing on their shared cultural and historical heritage, the two countries could enhance and deepen their relationship.
Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation also visited several Islamic and historical sites in Bukhara, a city renowned for its importance in Islamic culture and trade. Bukhara has long-established ties with Afghanistan in trade, culture, and social exchanges.
